Clap Hand Wipers

Post by RogerRust »

I thought they were phased out when the 1098 was introduced in 1961

but I'd like to know when they actually changed to sweep wipers.

My green 4 door was first registered Sept. 1963 and has claphands so I'd agree with LouM.

I wouldnt mind betting there are a few 64 registered with the clap hands wipers as well as stock sometimes hung around for a while, as a matter of interest a friend has a has a late 63 traveller with the clap hands wipers and 1098cc engine from new.
Cheers
