Took the old girl out for a spin and a wash today, first time she has been outside the garage in over 3 months. Battery was flat as a pancake too.

On another note, later in the day I was coming off the M60 at Swinton in my landrover, and just short of the off-ramp was a mid-blue coloured LCV broken down. I would have stopped, but the driver was on the grass, looking ever-so-chuffed as he was stretched out in a deckchair enjoying the afternoon sunshine. Moggy minor owners are a class apart! :D

Anyone know the mystery owner?

I've always managed to get home in a Minor - albeit sometimes needing a water refill every 5 miles...
except when I have the misfortune to break down in one that had previously been converted to Alternator (my 71 pick up on last year's LEO).
Thanks to the dratted alternator conversion I had to wait for the AA whilst broken down in a dual carriageway slip road. I didn't have the time to sit in a deck chair as I was busying myself waving frantically so that idiot drivers didn't slam straight into my car.

I've not got time to convert her back to Dynamo so I'll be carrying a spare alternator on this years trip.
