Indicators

Post by catwill74 »

Another noob question (I must get a manual...!) where is the fuse for the indicators ? and if its not the fuse what would cause all the indicators not to work including the light on the indicator stalk (all other lighting works fine.....)

I would assume the flash unit has given up. about 5 quid for a new one

the indicators are on the same fuse as most of the other electrics so if the car starts and runs its not the fuse

The car will start and run even with both fuses removed/blown! The fuses are under the bonnet - follow the bunch of wires. Are the brake lights working? If so - it's not the fuse. Find the flash unit - remove the two wires and hold them together - the indicators should now come on but obviously won't flash. If this works - as above, new flash unit required. Other possibilities are loose wire on the run up to the switch on the steering column - or faulty switch.
