What goes here?

Post by polo2k »

Hi all, im looking at all the holes in my bulkhead and im certain that ive forgotten something. (if it was a volvo then I could say its like an ikea kit" lol)
All the bits that ive circled (with my amazing paint skills) are the ones that concern me, I want a minor not a foot spa.
If there is anything else that stands out as wrong please let me know (gently) and I know the paint is looking shoddy but this winter im planning to do somthing about it

A-F are just generally "what goes here!" even if you can just tell me its a screw or a grommet, would help a million
H-J is there some seal that runs along the top edge of the bulkhead?
K There is a big bolt through the bay floor (approx 1/2") running vertically, never had a servo. any ideas?

Cheers in advance.

The large hole above the wiring loom seems to be a later addition , the C if I'm reading the letter well ( the on closest to the battery box) I think ' it's used for the heater valve control cable, the K seems to be pointing to the windscreen washe bottle

I've been told off for not being detailed enough!
Most of A-F and H-J (plus some others on the passenger side opposite H-J which seem to be painted up) are the holes that hold the plastic clips that hold the sound deadening inside the car. The sound deadening is a 'felty' sort of material with a hard black side to it. The clips go through the material into the holes in the buklhead.

Sound deadening from inside the car. You can see some of the clipsImage
Under bonnet, passenger side: You can just see the end of some clips.Image

Sorry about the quality of the pics - its dark and I can't see where I'm pointing the camera!. and I can't get Paintshop to load so I can't label anything. Ther's no rubber seal on that car, but I'll do some better pics tomorrow.

Yeah there is usually a sealing strip there, but it doesn't need securing through any holes, it just presses on to the lip all along the top of the bulkhead (IIRC) this is the seal in question :)
