Alternative seat options

Post by yellowpinky »

Does anyone know of any other make of seat that can be made to fit the minor(van)? I have heared the Metro seats will fit, but I am thinking of seats from another classic car so that they don't look too modern. Ideally more comfortable/leather etc.
Thanks.

Pretty much anything can be made to fit with the right tools and parts. I'm pretty sure that there is nothing that is "bolt on" though.....

Early Metro leather seats have a similar rib pattern to later '1000' seats so wont look too modern imho.
What would Macgyver do..?

I've got Early Mx 5 Seats with Home made base. Comfy and aslo have speakers built into the Headrest.

Most narrow seats can be Made to fit but nearly all will need a Base unit of some description to fit.

With Newton Commercial seat base adapters most seats can be made to fit. Bit pricey though at around £50 each base.
Make sure whatever seats you fit have a tip forward release to the backrest.
