Windscreen washers

Post by Bazzalucas »

Were windscreen washers ever fitted to the Minor? If so, where were the nozzles mounted? (I have a '58 1000). You know the rule: measure twice, drill once. Thanks.

They were, i think. on mine there is a bottle on the drivers side inner wing, the pump was originally on the flange under the dash (manual pumping action) Ive just fitted a modern, electric pump with a switch under the dash on a 1" angle iron offcut, theres a £1 push to make switch from maplins and it hides behind the same flange.

oh and the jets are on the pannel under the windscreen, about 2.5"-3" inboard of the wiper spindles.
