As the committee appear to be kept fully up to date on what is happening here on the website, it would be nice if a representative, something I offered to be when on the committee myself, could comment on the number of issues and suggestion made by members and non members alike.

Of course as an alternative someone could write directly to the club, and post the responses received on here for the benefit of all.

Wouldn't it be nice if Minor Matters & Minor Monthly could work together for the benefit of all Minor owners. This is something I have been suggesting for a considerable time, and something that Jon Betts would be only too happy to do.

I couldn't agree more with the comments regarding people not even being acknowledged for sending in articles. In response to comments in Minor Matters regarding the fact that the club wanted to reach out to younger members, my wife and I wrote an article regarding a whistle-stop journey to the Massif Central in France in our Traveller (one of our three Minors!)in 2005, to go to a friend's wedding. We thought it was a special journey, as we undertook the entire journey (from Warwickshire) of 1300 miles in 3 days, with one of those days being spent at the wedding, and as such, wrote it up and sent it in to the club. We got some super pictures along the way too, which we also sent in. I was 28 at the time, so thought the contribution might have been appreciated, being from one of the 'younger' members. However, there was no response from the club, not even an acknowledgement of receipt. As such we were rather disheartened, and haven't considered spending the time or effort to produce anything to send in again. I called the club to stress that I thought it would be polite to at least acknowledge articles that are sent in, even if they're not used in the magazine, and was reassured that this would happen. However, this was three years ago and I'm still waiting!! I have a feeling that material sent in by certain people may be published more readily than that sent in by unknown members, though of course I may be mistaken. Let's hope things continue to change!

I have to say I was impressed with the new look as well. Much more professional use of colour and layout, and thank goddess for the end of from a woman's angle :)

When I could persuade myself to read it I never did mind the contents that much, but the title just made me want to hurl the magazine across the room.
