New Guy
G'day All,
Greetings from the tropical Top End of Australia. Moggy owners are few and far between in this neck of the woods (quite literally) and I'm glad to have found the company of like-minded enthusiasts.
I am currently driving a white 1954 2 Door splitty called Beanie. I previously owned a 1957 4 door, unfortunately the target of an arson attack, and a 1957 van.
Looking forward to many hours scanning the posts.

don't forget to make breaks in between reading posts to fix your cars... (or you'll end up cycling like me ;-) )

"Whats the spares situation in your location and sorry what's the time difference? can't remember(12 in front?)"
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! The spares situation is fairly grim, there is a place I deal with in Canberra called Classic Motoring that has a good range of Moggy and Mini parts, however Canberra is several thousand kms away. The equivalent would be someone in London ordering parts from Istanbul. Most of my parts come from ESM, they generally arrive faster!! The time difference is +9.5, greater minds than mine have tried to work out where the .5 comes from so don't ask.
In regards to driving in the rain, in the monsoon season we get 70+ inches of rain in a 4 month period as well as the odd cyclone. In weather like that, a moggy is basically a colander with wheels.
