stub axle nut

Post by markattard »

Anyone pls could advice on how to be sure the front stub axle nut on a 1953 series 11 is tight enough? Should you lock the wheel as in the 1000's and unwind half a turn? Pardon me if this is nonsense...

I'm guessing it should be tightened right up - on the later Minor there is no 'locking the wheel etc' - it's done up until tight and split pin inserted. the hub should then rotate easily and without any binding.
