At last. The good folk at Kenilworth have informed me that the car park will be very busy on 4th May due to a re enactment feature. Consequently they are charging £2 per car and cannot guarantee us parking in either car park.
Plan C.................

Give in Roger, what is it ? :D
Might be more suitable to hold the meeting on another day other than a bank holiday where everywhere around here will be jam packed.
Open to suggestions though

Come on, no defeatism at the back there! It's not like we're going to have dozens of cars. Perhaps go back to plan A and visit Gaydon as a group (not worrying about whether we can park together), then go for a scenic drive, stop off at a beauty spot for a picnic (I assume there are some in the region!), before finishing up at JLH.

We need to decide what it is we want to see or do. Cars and scenery, or re enactment and scenery.(the latter is my preference) but not sure of the cost or program they have. I also need to know how many folk are interested in the local specialist visit, as a bank holiday, day off and demanding family need to be taken into consideration.
Lets set Wednesday as a deadline to determine the day out, then I can plan us a nice drive and scenic route.
Coventry is about 18 miles from Gaydon and 5 from Kenilworth :D 8)

Go for the castle then - I don't mind either way as long as we do something.
