Roof / Luggage Rack

Was a roof rack ever an upgrade option for a new Traveller? I know I have seen some in pictures, and have wondered if they are aftermarket or taken from another marque.

Bear in mind that the roof gutter is only pinned to the wood.

And it's just folded alloy strip - and the roof is thin aluminium alloy!

Hmm - that would be counterproductive - after all, the Trav design was probably created to avoid/eliminate racks (and wet/stolen baggage) :-)
