My Dad had one and I used to own a black morris 4 door reg YDH 738 My question is this.....can i convert a van to pick up?? someone said I just have to change the cab and let DVLA know but is this true??
I want to get my hands dirty again so wanna restore one......E type doesn't need anything so has to go!

It's the back you'd need to change, not the cab. In steel, those are rare and a bit precious now, but they are available in 'glass these days - as a moderator, not allowed to say where, can PM if you're interesred

cheers thanks for that. i have to buy the pick up first ( sell Jag before that!) then get the parts.
pick up's seem to be eye wateringly expensive compared with other morris's

They're the rarest of all the Mog models, that's why :D In general, they're also the worst, condition wise, unless you can find/afford one which has been restored. The pick up bed itself is the hardest bit to come by

you can change a van body to a pick up

you have to cut above the swage line of the back, but the hardest bit to get is the top moulding

fibre glass pick up backs come from nottingham, henrics, they have a website will try and find it
