Update time.......%**##! C pillar section now fitted!!!

Post by youngun »

Ok well it was out with the tape measure, grinder, welder and hammer this weekend. The C pillar section is now in, excuse the untidy welding, and it fits quite well after a bit of reshaping, i also fitted the arch flange repair section, im going to have to make the wing mounting holes a bit bigger as the trap nuts are wrongly spaced on the section and i need to gain half an inch (!!!) on 2 holes! ( If you look closely on the last picture you can see my scribed centre line and where the new trap nut ended up, its not my fault though as i measured the distances on the repair panel and they're wrong!)

I know how you feel, I did my 'C' Pillar this weekend as well, and yes, it was a pig, I've put the piccies here http://www.eastonadventures.co.uk/resto.htm

the repair sections are an abomination, totally unlike the existing one. I think I've made it fit though.
