Ratchet Spanners and Socket Set Cheap in Halfrauds!

Post by jollyroger »

Halfrauds are doing 10% off online only this weekend. You can collect in store . I spotted this if anyone is interested.

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... tId_229913

They are reduced from £75 to £50 and you get another £5 off making it £45.

Also socket set £200 reduced to £100 then another £10 off making it £90.

They all have a lifetime guarantee.

Do the sets have any AF and/or Whitworth sockets in them?

The spanners are metric.
I never really had a good look at the socket set as I wasn't buying it. I would think it would probably be AF and metric, I would doubt any whitworth.

I swear my Moggy has some nuts and bolts that no spanner type/size has ever been designed to fit them. Adjustable spanner excluded which I hate using for anything other than emergency.

Popped in this morning and it is indeed AF and metric with torx and star. It looks a great quality set.

I bought a smaller socket set of theirs and after years of use the finish and performance is still excellent.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

I use Halfords spanners and sockets at work and they do Last exceptionally well. Their ratchet spanners are quite tough too.
