help needed identifying 1275 engine

Hi all
Hope some one can help?
Was looking to upgrade to a 1275 a series engine
i think ive Seen a couple at a auto jumble at weekend just bare engine
Are there any marks on engine so that I can identify which donor engine is best?

Make sure the engine isn't from a Metro or Mini They have the Flywheel enclosed and a deep rib lined sump and are useless without MAJOR and almost unobtainable conversion.

The useable options are:
Midget - oil filter in same position as Minor and smooth cased engine block
Marina - Oil filter upturned and behind the Distributor, smooth block
Ital - as Marina but ribbed block.
Of the three only the Midget is a straight swap, the others requiring slight modification or interchange with 1098 parts.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
