Introducing...

Alfie, my new project. :) Image
There is actually a lot with it not in the photo... Engine, box, steering, fuel tank, brake stuff (some), trim, six carbs, two looms, etc... You know, the usual treasure trove that people fob off with a project...

Well it was just a hunch but in one of Jack's earlier posts he mentioned getting a TR3

Very entertaining to watch the guesses get closer :)
Actually a TR3A! So far as I can tell, the TR3 had a slightly narrower grille but otherwise the difference was academic...
I can't believe how fast it can progress! Three hours and I have the body off (it's not a monocoque), four wheels off and up on supports... I'll see if I can get a couple of photos up sometime. I know this isn't a Triumph forum so that'll be the last couple of photos
So, tomorrow it's off with the brakes and rejig that, then the engine and gearbox get a going-over, body goes off to a body shop sometime for a pro respray... I'm going for a full rebuild, nut and bolt, and curiously it seems simpler than a Morris! :o
fibreglass kit Car ?
The genuine goods, original in all the mechanical parts, the engine's actually looking pretty healthy!
Only thing is the owner dented the front panel- in fact split it- loading the car up. Also damaged the wing behind. Wouldn't mind but it's a cool $2000 for a new one (I'm going with finding a panel beater, considerably cheaper...) :o  (The photos are pre-loading, so the dent isn't there, but it's highly visible and like I say, split the panel... Warped it, dented it, and split it.)
And this is on top of a Moggy with a slippy clutch and a leaky sump... :) Am I asking for it? I am, aren't I. Oh well.[/quote]
