Off the road since 1995!

Post by DCat »

Just rejoined the MMOC :D after an absence of 13 years, house move and three children! Our Traveller sadly was removed from the road in 1995 due to the rear leaf spring appearing through the floor, so it was time for a full restoration. The car has sat in my garage for 7 years in a naked state but many new panels. I have now returned to the task of getting her back on the road this year (watch this space). Just wondering if anyone knows if 'Henrics' are still trading - they made some excellent panels.

Welcome to the forum! I'm afraid Henrics are no longer around. :(

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Have recently ordered some new parts, i've not been very happy with the quality though, rear suspension links didn't look up to the job compared with the old ones i removed. Just preparing the body shell for a respray in Almond Green, spoke to a lovely lady at the Vintage Paint Company who will supply the paint. Looking forward to bolting all the bits back together, I hope i don't have too many left over!

Yep you're not wrong there, had to replace the gutters over the doors, replacements were too long one end and too short the other, so had to cut and weld to get it to fit! Surely it would be better to leave and extra inch at each end and then cut to fit?
