convertible hood cover ''Q''

Post by overider »

Help, I am looking for what I think is called a tonneau. It is a cover for my convertible hood when it’s in its down position. Is this the correct name for the cover and where did you other convertible owners get yours, please?

:D :D :D

Hi I think what you are looking for is a hood cover.
A tonneau is a cover for the passenger area like this:

Cheers for clearing that one up for me I was a little confused about the name of the cover. I have check out the supplier’s sites for a cover/bag. ESM call there’s a hood bag. Is this the correct thing?

Just make sure you get the one that matches your hood.

Also check you have the fxings for it on your existing hood. I'm on my second convertible and neither had provision for a hood bag.

Hi you convertible lovers  ...just like me.... I'm on my third one right now, I just love them.

The hood bag should have four sets of press studs two on each side of the part of the cover that actually covers the hood frame. Practicall they just fasten the hood cover around and below the hood frame.

There is also a "lift the dot" fastener on the side of the bag, this clips to the existing male counterpart on the car, which usually fits to the hood's own "lift the dot" fastener.

If the above is confusing then pl zoom on this pic to get an idea:
