Castrol valvemaster.

Post by smh582003 »

Is this old news or Have I just spotted it.
On the 250ml bottle of valvemaster it states that 250ml will do 250 ltrs of fuel but on the 10ml syringe it says 10ml will do 20ltrs. I phoned castrol and the chap said that it will be ok if your engine isnt pinking.
Can I have your opinions ????
Steve

I'd send it back to thier customer services with a polite letter pointing out the descrepency - never know they might send you a shed load of freebies :-)
not exactly the reply you would expect you got on the phone, not from castrol !

Just don't bother adding any! It's v doubtful if it does any good anyway. The only 'true' lead additive is Tetraboost. It's the only one with Tetra-ethyl lead.

Yup, waste of money IMHO. Set exhaust valve clearance to 13-15 thou and don't lug the engine. If the gaps don't close up, the exhaust seats aren't wearing.
