Finished at last (nearly)

Post by Mogwai »

Here are some Photos of my 1957 minor that i've recently had resprayed.
I've owned it for about 14 years now so it was about time I got it resprayed as the paint on it was flaking off & a horible colour.
I started work on it last year with the usual optimism only to find the n,s sill & floor was worse than I first thought so had to replace the lot which delayed things a bit. its not quite finished yet as I still have to sort out the interior & a few mechanical items but its getting there

I wonder if the phone no still works?

Looking great - wide van wheels too - very well done! But with all these dials - I don't see the MOST important one - an Oil Pressure gauge !

Nice job! I too like the subtle mods and the green colour. Is it original shade? doesn't look like Almond green or BRG. Digital photos can be deceptive though on colour.
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

Its now back to its original colour the imaginatively named Dark Green paint code GN12 .I believe it was only used on the minor for about 3 years in the 50s so I would imagine not to many about in this colour

We have a 1956 splitscreen in GN12. Lovely colour.
