Bill - bi of an gossipy update....
Just got back from the shop (run by a vintage buffer) anyway just missed Harold by half an hour - he was taking great delight in showing Arkwright (not his name but the sinilarities are startling) the shop keeper his copy of MM with the Leo Article.

Anyway, aparrenty Harold was telling him that there were a LOT coming up this year - 16 is what i was told, with talk of a number coming from Scotland?

Just letting you know as its either misinformation from Arkwright or theres a lack of information going on. Dont know if you want me to pop by and see Harold during the next few days or do you want to ring him maybe?
(if you dont have his number let me know)

Did try telling Arkwright that it was looking nothing like 16 at the moment for the LEO but trying to explain the internet & this board to him well would be time wasted :-)

Leave Land's End on Sunday 3rd of August, drive up to John O'Groats via a scenic route, catch the ferry to Orkney on Saturday the 9th of August.

Thanks Alex.

I have put you in as a possible John.

Kevin, if everyone listed below can make it, we have 14 cars. These are the only people that I know of that have shown an interest in the Official  LEO Run. Perhaps I should have a word with Harold. Could you PM his telephone number to me please.

Can you post a very rough plan so we can offer feedback and suggestions before setting anything in stone?

Of course Alex, this is why I asked for suggestions previously. Nothing will be set in stone until everyone has had a chance to have their say.

Hi there. I'll only be able to make the Lands End to Devon Somerset border now, as a close friend has just announced her wedding on 9th August ... in Cornwall and I can't be both ends of the country at once.

That really is a shame Kathryn, but at least you will be with us for part of the trip.

URGENT

I have applied for possible sponsorship in relation to the ferry costs for this years LEO Run, and the ferry company have requested the names of those intending to travel. In view of this it would be appreciated if all of those definitely taking part in this years run would confirm this to me asap. Naturally anyone not confirming this, cannot benefit from any possible discounted ferry charges.
