I've never seen one with a locking passenger door though I would like a locking handle on that side.
What would Macgyver do..?

i was talking to my dad about this about 20 mins ago...how random! as we both have 4 doors, and we were complaining that we think 2 doors have locking on both sides! damn them, they get the looks AND 2 locks! how selfish...

Hey, don't go dissing four doors! I often wondered why they were usually cheaper than the two doors. I prefer 4, much more practical, and I think they look OK! Althjough I have to agree, a passenger door lock would be great, much more chivalrous.

Let her drive then, and she gets in first - or is that somehow not chivalrous?

Don´t complain, guys - I for one would LOVE to have a lock on the drivers´ side...but it looks like I am out of luck. We have an imported ( = converted to LHS drive) car..and they never bothered to fit a LHS lock. Engineers...bah! Or maybe it´s those bean counters again. Production economy - bah!

I was just digging through one of the boxes of parts that came with Fenchurch, looking for a spare door handle for Barry, and I've come across what appears to be a locking left-hand door mechanism. Only trouble is, as far as I can see it can't be locked and unlocked from the inside (though you could still open the door from the inside). Oh, and I don't have a key for it so the barrel will need replacing.

Bluesman can have first refusal on it considering he needs one for a LHD car... :D

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

There was a thread while ago, someone in Germany I think had a LHD from RHD conversion and it was driving the guys wife nuts as the locking door was the wrong side.
There were a few appearing on fleabay at the time so maybe worth keeping an eye out !

HI all. I've got a locking passenger door on my traveller! Very useful when getting children in from pavement. I think the doors a replacement one but I'm not complaining
