What battery size for a Minor?

I need to go and buy a new battery for my 1955 Series II Minor. The car isn't with me at the moment so I wonder if anyone can tell me a battery spec, or physical size that I need?

will depend if you have modified the connectors in any way.... otherwise the 'normal' fit is 038

larger capacity and sizes that might fit (some might foul heater tap) 067, 069

but really check before you buy

just looked up

038 or 015 about the same but will depend if you have swapped to negative earth as these two are arranged - + or + - although both ought to fit the space easily and terminals to front or back don't really seem to matter on a minor as long as you make sure there is no chance of a short

It’s best to have the terminals to the back. I have seen the battery-securing bracket make contacts with forward terminals before. It makes ya jump a bit
