BMC rosette screen badge

Post by southerly95 »

In trying to retain authenticity for our 65 convertible I got one of the BMC rosette screen stickers but can't see how they are affixed to the screen?

I'm stuck with the simplest of things! Not sure if it's a water transfer, whether the rosette part peels off or the entire square. From memory the I think the rosette faces into the car?

Regards, John

Does the sticker portion feel like a thin plastic? If so they are simply a dry transfer fit, usually with the written side facing the glass.

They are meant to be read from outside the car.

Dont forget to clean the glass really well when you have decided where to position it before fitting it.

Re transfer

Just soak in a bowl of warm water , clean/de-grease the window from the inside wait until the transfer slides about on it's backing paper and slide on to the windscreen just like an airfix transfer! :P

Not if it's a standard windscreen sticker - just stick it on the screen, with maybe a little water, though I have to say I inevitably use spit. Never seen one facing the interior either, btw
