Triumph Forae...

Post by jackkelleher »

Use of a pretentious plural, I know, but I had to use it sometime...
Anyway, anyone know where there's a good one? The imminent arrival of a tr3 leads me to conclude I'll probably be needing TR3 advice...

"In Latin, the plural is "fora", because the noun "forum" follows the second type of declension and has neutral gender. For this type of declension, you have a nominative singular neutral noun ending in "-um", and its corresponding nominative plural ends in "-a".

However, if you actually mean the present day English noun that is derived from the Latin noun, the regular plural "forums" is more frequently used than "fora", by adding the regular English plural ending "-s". "Fora" is also used, but less frequently."

Oh, and no clue about ones for TR3s, sorry

I had to do it for 5, my father is a professor of it, but I still couldn't have told you that without cheating and Googling it. It just felt wrong...

I'm on this one Jack - it's not great for my TR7 - there is a more dedicated one I use for that. But they do cover all the models here. Good luck with that car!

Hello Jack,

you are well served for TR 3 discussion groups e.g., http://www.club.triumph.org.uk/ or http://www.tr-register.co.uk.

Also, perhaps, www.kaskastner.com if you are performance orientated?
