door cards etc
Wot ho, just a question...is there any difference in the size and shapes of the door cards etc from the dou-tone to the later ones. I rather like the look of the older ones and wondered if they were all universal or would the older ones not fit my 69 traveller?

The travellers are the same as the two dorrs? I belive I gleaned that info from somewhere....or I could have been dreaming that I was listening
I want to do the interior out in an older style so the seats would have to be duo tone as well, though I have been winding 'im indoors up about getting some funky 1950's atomic patterend matrial and doing the interior out in that!!!

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

do you remember playing with a spyrograph? one of the designs is like various sizes of those, some are of eight pointed stars longer than wider, also a lot of boomerang kind of things...very space age as everything was at that time, due to the race for space getting under way. If I can work out how to post an image here I will. Though not all of the designs feature "atomic" symbols they were classed as Atomic designs.

this is one lonk to an ebay site with the boomerang design. the atomic designs really are 1950's so something which makes you think of that period in time is usually these kind of patterns. I prefer the blue version of this pattern to the pink...pink not being my colour

Cool. Not sure how well it would suit a Minor interior though. ;)

I thought of covering all the hard board internal panel coverings which are just black vinyl covered at the mo and have a fifties pale colouring seats, maybe duo tone, then I thought about putting real wood veneer on the out side in the gaps where the alluminium panels are....proper forties fifties woody style
I might get drummed out of the MMO club but it is still worth the wind up value on the hubby...that'll learn him to marry a Hillbilly lovin' large turn up on jeans Gal:lol:
could be a worse pattern..I have seen one with cute cowboy and cowgirls for kids design in red with lassos' horses guns as well as the boy and girl in cowboy get up
