Hi,
Was trying to bleed the brake system on Minerva and on retightening the bleed nipple managed to break off the back of the cylinder, obviously it wasn't in great condition. My question is should I replace both brake cylinders or is it safe to just replace the one?
Thanks
Philip

As long as the other wheel cylinder is operating OK, then it should be alright to replace only the damaged one.
Looking at the damaged cylinder, is it a fault in the casting that's caused the break or was the material just very weak for some reason?
Bleed nipples shouldn't be overtightened otherwise the seating surfaces can be damaged.
