It's me Valium to do with prop shaft

you suggested the axle was rotating as the mountig plates had rusted - what do i do now

(I've got both Haynes nad the original manual)

- what do I need to buy / do now

I'm not sure that there are replacement parts available, so you may be into fab-ing, or another axle

Than can be a really tricky place for a successful repair to be done as the chances are its right through the casing as well which is not that an unusual problem, it will be cheaper to get another axle casing as they dont tend to go for much, here is an example

If PT is too far away - just post up in the Wanted section - i'm sure an axle will soon be yours. At least it's not anything too serious!

I had to take my axle off and fabricate some new brackets from mild steel , I also had to weld a small hole in the casing . However I had cutting and welding gear in my garage - the easiest answer is to get another axle casing , or complete axle now you know what to check for. If you add your whereabouts to your profile people may be quite close who can help.

I'll get my Landy up amd running and then have a scout about me thinks -it's a 1st march starter job or global warming job

(something makes me me not want to be beaten and try an engineering option on exisiting one but I'm dreaming)
