Just looked out and light dusting here already that is sticking although it's now stopped.
We are at 900 feet at base of Peak District so that might explain why it's started before the forcast predicted.

No snow yet to speak of, the low seems to be not budging so its sending the cloud out t the left south quite quickly.
Reckon by the time it does pass and bring the nasty winds there wont be much precipitation to follow on,
but wouldnt be the first time ive been wrong :-)
watch this space :-)

Well what a let down  a few measly flurries and that was it !
Still the gales never got anywhere near what was forecast - topped out at about 60mph during the night.
Last time this happened, a week later they said the same, everyone said 'they got it wrong last week nothing will come of it' course subsequently a lot of people got caught out.

Yes Matt - steam does it for me. Been a Guard for many years - currently on the 'Monday' squad at Bo'ness for rail laying etc, also learning to drive Class 20/26/27 diesels - and starting my Fireman Training in March! If the wife would make it worth my while I would go and live there!
