Copperslip is actually abrasive and should not be used as a lubricant on any moving parts so in effect you are actually shortening the life of your springs by applying it!

Well it doesn't get applied between the leaves, just a quick wipe down on the outside to stop rust. Copperslip is an anti-seize lubricant, NOT an abrasive. If you think copper molecules stand a chance of abrading through several mm of spring steel, then a metalurgy course might be in order.

So it should not be used on brake caliper sliding pins, handbrake linkages, or any of the other dozen or so moving parts where it is the recommended lubrication. And just where did you source your information?

I think it's more of an 'anti-seize' product (smear on bolt threads etc) rather than an active lubricant - but it's certainly not abrasive!

i sprayed my springs with a mixter of engine oil and diesel cant do any harm
