Storing Thread Info

Post by dave1949 »

There is so much invaluable info content in many, many threads.

Is it possible to store/save particular info for future personal ref or is it just down to printing sections req'd.If so is it possible to print sections rather than the full thread??

Well what you can do - when you find a particular thread thats useful is save it to your favourites in IE or Firefox or whatever browser.
E.G. in my favourites have a mmoc folder - then sub folders - one for brakes one for bodywork etc etc
so when read somethng would like to use for refernce just save it as a favourite in the appropriate subfolder.
really easy to do and surprising how many people dont and more that dont even know they can !

You can also highlight the text then cut it and paste into a Word or similar document and then format to your personal taste. Plain text, Access database, the possibilities are endless......

An official Wiki would be handy for this kind of thing...

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
