Frank,
As BMC says, anything is possible, but grafting a Ford diff into the A-Series casing is a bit on the 'difficult' side - has anyone done it?
What are you wanting to do? Do you need a stronger axle, different ratio etc.?
Upgraded A-Series axle half shafts are available either as a 'toughened' standard pattern, or a really bullet proof version from Peter May (they are expensive at around £150 each).
