Just a quick question. How hard are the windows to remove/put back in? As I'm gonna be spray painting the car is it worth removing the windows or should I just save myself some work and tape them up?

Tape them up - unless you plan on renewing the window guides/seals etc. But be sure to also mask the seals etc off - to stop paint getting on them! there is no greater give-away (except maybe paint on tyres!) that a car has been resprayed.

Ok thanks bmcecosse, my next problem is that I think the seal for the front windscreen is kinda crumbling away, how easy is it to take out the front windscreen and put it back replacing the seals?

Outside at this time of year it's an absolute pig.

You need a warm day, help from at least one other person and, if your screen rubber has the 'D' shaped chrome-plastic trim strip, the specific tool for fitting is a godsend.

You need a warm day, and a good assistant. Also buy a good quality seal. If you check the major suppliers you will find one of them quotes two qualities for the seal. Make sure you buy the best one!!

Side windows are fairly straight forward but again a warm day helps.

Tape up fixed windows, wind down front side windows and mask up the hole. If you remove the windows, you risk damaging the seals, and the new ones are of varying fit and quality. If you do remove the windows, allow several weeks for the paint to go really hard, or you risk damaging the respray when you refit the windows. NEVER remove the rear window unless it's broken, it's a nightmare and then some.

For the best result without removing the seals,simply 'string the seal' and insert some wiring flex to lift the rubber of the paintwork. Mask the rubber and glass. This method allows the paint to go behind the seal and looks much better than just a masked rubber.When fully dry remove the flex and hey presto. Ideally you should remove the masking when the paint is almost dry,yet still tacky this minimises the risk of paint tear when removing tape. You must however 'scotchbrite' and degrease behind the seal to allow for paint adhesion.
Remove the window seals on the wind down windows too as these harbor lots of dust just waiting to mess up your paintwork.
