Hey guys! Long time no see!
I am currently restoring my car and am having trouble getting the front suspension apart.
I have removed the bolt that holds on the damper arm onto the suspension but it wont budge? is there something else I need to remove or do I just need to get a puller on it? All the tension has been taken out of the damper and it is also unbolted from the car.

Suspension dismantling
An age when roads were empty, machines were simple and every journey was an adventure!!
Did mine not too long ago adn the greatest tip from here was get there a couple of days before and spray spray spray with penetrant - same next day- sure it really helped.
A couple of the nuts were awkward but once off nothing was too bad with a hammer tap or bit of leverage in the right place.

i have managed to get the damper off now but it still has the pin attached to the arm! Its seems very solid although now I can get it on the bench and work on it.
I have never dismantled the suspension on a moggy before and everything to do with the suspension is being taken off to be shot blasted and re-painted so no doubt I will be asking lots of questions when it comes to putting it back together!!!!
Does anyone know of any goos exploded pics of the suspension with parts names and figures on how to tighten certain bolts?

The problem with that pin is that its on a very small taper and often jams on our local specialist use's a flypress and if it wont shift after a couple of goes he just renews the pin as they don't cost much and any more time spent trying to shift it would cost far more than the replacement pin.
Also a PM sent.

Whenever I've exchanged front dampers, they had the pin in them (have been the same 'with pin' many many times but I've not had to do that recently)
