Could be, the guy who runs the car bibles site has had a lot of this and is compiling a law suit.

I had to laugh at the comments on the Pimp my ride Minor as being 'very poor condition' - it was aesthetically poor (bad paint, rusted doors and rough interior) but stucturally well above average...

That PMR minor was in better nick than my daily driver!
Shame they didn't show any of the actual work on TV - I'd have liked to see them work on the sills and usual areas.

btw, I was actually expecting a post about brake shoes, given the 'fishy' title.
What would Macgyver do..?

They didn't show it because they didn't do it! Sills, inner wings etc were all good.

It used to be my car - I'd even taken it to the Midland regional rally in Stoke. The bad bits (bad paint, rusted doors and rough interior) were VERY bad though! Apart from having to replace the doors and add disk brakes it was a perfect PMR donor car - mainly needing cosmetics (and boy did they do a beautiful job of it)

You can anneal the old washer instead of fitting a new one.

I like the fact PMR is up as 'educational material'...
