Lowlight wings same size as rubber ?

Post by paulhumphries »

I've been reading the latest issue of Minor Commercial - the magazine of the LCV register and well worth joining just for that if you are a van / pick-up enthusiast
There is an article about the rubber winged vans and I think they look like the same profile / shape as the lowlight items.
Is that correct ?

I should add I have no ideas /plans etc about them but was just wondering.

Thanks.

Hi Paul
I,ve converted my van to a lowlight front and did quite a bit of research prior to doing it, the rubber wings are shorter than the equivalent steel ones as the rear part is made up by a strip of metal that fills between the door and wing, the front has to bolt to the edge of the front panel so that must be the same, obviously there are depressions where the headlight pods sit on the rubber wings, but as I,ve never seen a rubber wing in the flesh I cant definitly state the wing profiles are the same all along.
