...on the side of the bonnet- where can they be had? I can't find them anywhere. And just out of interest is there anyone who stocks the complete bonnet release mechanism? Can't find that either!

By the way, how easy is it to recondition the mouldings? What are they made of? Would they take well to a sanding down and repainting? Mine are all bubbled and the paint's falling off, it doesn't seem to be regular iron or steel since it doesn't rust so much as go white and bubble!

They're 'Mazac', some nasty brittle alloy*, but they're OK to sand and paint. Just be careful removing them - they snap

Has anyone tried the electroplating kits that Frost sell, are they any good.

do seem a bit a expensive just to try I suppose
