New skin from Santa!

Hoping for a complete new interior for Christmas- light blue to replace my faded red, maybe even two-tone... But I have a vital question! If I replace all the red bits will I lose that great "old car" smell (which I prefer to the "new car" smell...)? If so how long would it take to come back? I'd rather stick with my oily, ripped, mismatched red if it's the only way to keep the smell!

Get a piece of old leather, sprinkle it with petrol and allow to dry, then dip it in some light oil and chuck it under the back seat. Or just cut up the old interior and make a hundred DIY air de-fresheners

tis a little known fact that a lot of 'used car traders' use new car smell when they valet the cars. Reckon there might just be an old car smell equivalent?

I could use that one too!
I suppose if I leave the old roof liner in, that might keep some vestiges of the scent...
