Aye - but it's not 'bolt on' Ian - beacuse although the cam itself can be changed easily enough I doubt the SW5 cam comes with a peg drive end (or does it ???) to suit the original oil pump and therefore that needs changing too - which means engine off the gearbox .

Hi Ian so that Cam is as good as they say then, what size engine did you fit it to ? and did you but the whole kit complete with new pump and followers, and as Roy mentioned it comes with a slot drive but is a peg drive available.
Cheers

In fact SW5 is little more than a high lift version of the 1098 standard camshaft (AEA 630) and so much the same effect can be obtained by fitting high lift rockers - which I am normally dead against! I much prefer the MG Metro camshaft which has more open timing and less lift, thus putting far less strain on the valve gear. Rover did it that way for very good reason - by far the best cam they ever fitted to any A series production engine. Of course it does need an oil pump change - but then it's a far better pump !
