cONVERTING A SEDAN INTO A TRAVELLER
I am sorry but I am new to Morris Minors , just bought a 2 door sedan and I was wondering if I could convert it into a Traveller?
What Jonathan said really - for the massive amount of work involved youd be better off with a restorable trav as a starting point. They come up cheap or free sometimes so worth keeping an eye out on here and joining the club for the ads in the rag.
Most popular conversion for a 2 door is to turn into a convertible with one of the parts kits you can get - thats why they are getting quite rare apparently.

You'd probably have to break a trav to get all the parts you need to do it.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
CONVERTING A SEDAN INTO A TRAVELLER
Thanks guys but looks like I forgot to say I live down under in Uruguay and that means zero Traveller, only few derelict sedans and terribly expensive.
I guess the best option would be to restore, talking about restoring, I am planning to use a Toyota Starlet engine from early 80´s, should I use the rest? (gearbox, diff, prop shaft, axles, etc)

Best bet is to have a look on www.minormania.com there is a large section there relating to this mod, or try www.minorsdownunder.com.
