This is what the vet is supposed to have said.
Seems owner was just giving the python small, but regular amounts of food.
They need a large amount and then don't eat again for ages.
I suppose it therefore treated the mice etc as a snack and the owner as the main course !
Personally I think the owner is 100% at fault for not realising and is reponsible for it being put down - not the snake who would only doing what comes natural.
Personally I don't fancy a snake as a pet but on the other hand don't like any creature being destroyed unnecessary.
