At one point Dad was with the film crew van, and the reporter was in my car, parked in a pub car park. A woman came over and asked Dad if he knew the way to somewhere. He didn't, so she said "I'll just go and ask the policeman then". She'd headed over to my car before he could explain...

Panda car on TV this Friday
This Friday (that's the 16th, in case anyone is reading this next week
) my panda car will be on TV! The Thin Blue Line, ITV at 8pm. Dad's spent all day with them today for the filming. Thanks to the Moggy owner near Harlow who stopped to ask if they'd broken down! They hadn't, just setting up for filming.

Nice one Lynda
I'll have to get your dads autograph at Newby Hall show next year
Pity you couldn't get on the set of Heartbeat while you're up this area, I'm going to have a drive over there this coming Sunday, weather permitting

Think about it, you're burgling a warehouse a 1am, and you hear the unmistakable sound of a Minor approaching. Let's face it, it's either the Police or the Royal Mail................

Don't forget though, when they used Moggys they were quite fast in that era, in our area they used the good old Mini as a panda with Triumph 2000's as patrol cars

They called it Look North on the phone, so I'm presuming it's that one. As I have no TV, I'm not really sure which area we'd usually receive!mal wrote: Lynda, is that BBC Look North or Tyne Tees TV ?? soo, looks like you're still enjoying Newby Hall, pity you can't make the job last until the show season![]()

I think they want me out of the way by the time the hall reopens. For some reason, they don't want their floors covered in dust and walls covered in polythene when the paying visitors arrive....
