bell housing

i changed the oil and filter today,and was genrally looking the car over. i noticed a large slot on the nearside of the car on the bell housing.should there be a rubber bung that fills this hole, it looks like it should be there thanks dale.

That's the clutch level slot for LHD cars. There is a rubber bung available to cover the hole.

Makes a handy ventilation and viewing hole when it's not present. Just don't stick your fingers in there when the engine is running!
