Does a 1098 head fit the 948 engine without any modifications? As ive been offered an unleaded 1098 head, but have a 948 engine!

Ultimate rust cure for your moggy....paint it brown, at least that way you dont notice the rust as much!!
Yes - but it will need 60 thou skimming off the face to make the comp ratio reasonable. It's a very worthwhile improvement to the 948 engine - that later head (12G202) has larger inlet valves and better shaped ports and throats. Best used in conjunction with a camshaft from a 1098 engine - AEA 630 - which has better lift and timing.
How do you 'know' it's unleaded ? They never were as standard - has this one been modified with ex seat inserts ?
