Bleeding bleed nipples
Noticed a slight weep from the rears on my fully re-built system today, so I put new nipples in and after an hour the joint between the head of the nipple and the brass banjo is looking damp again. am I looking at new banjo,s as well?
i must admit I,m a bit wary of overtightening them as I,ve them sheared off before now.

I'll see you on the otherside'!

did you put new copper washers in both sides of the banjo and the right sizes.
i had that once on one of mine and it turned out to be the washer not sealing properly.
if u haven't got new u can refurb the originals by heating with a blowtorch or gas hob until glowing red then popping them in cold water.
but i would suggest thats the prob

Some of the machining on these 'new' brake parts can be pretty rough. If you remove the offending nipple (if it still leaks) you should be able to see 'witness' marks where it seats into the banjo. These marks should form a perfect smooth circle all the way round the nipple end.leyther8008 wrote:Yep sent away especially for them, cost more in postage than parts, I,ve since nipped them up another eigth of a turn time will tell!
