rear trav door lock won't work

when ever i turn the key it doesn't lock the rear door, it just stays unlocked.
any ideas as around here it needs lockin

If the key is turning the lock barrel, then the barrel notch pins must be stuck or broken or just worn away.

Try a squirt of WD40 into the lock, then insert key and wiggle it about.
If that doesn't work, it's a new or second hand lock and key to match.

If the key doesn't spin around then wiggle the handle as you try and turn the key, again stick some wd40 in there and that will help free it up

anyone know how to get the barrel out of the handle just in case i need to replace it.

i have a few knocking about

anyone know how to get the barrel out of the handle just in case i need to replace it.

I was told the barrel can't be changed and ended up replacing the complete handle.
