Chevvy Pick up

Post by RogerRust »

I was parked next to a massive Chevvy 3500 pick up today at a local show.

I opened my bonnet for all to see but he refused to open his because it had a 4 cylinder diesel transit engine. He did pop it open later to show me and sure enough under a bonnet the size of a caravan was a tiny 4 cylinder Ford engine. Apparently lots of the Chevvy owners are doing it - Why?
Because they can't afford to fill them up at 12 MPG.

Ha Ha.

It wasn't a judged show just a village show. It's a funny thing the Harley Davidson owners all liked the Morris. I've noticed that before, but haven't worked it out yet. Last week when I was out ! was waved at by a group of bikers in a layby.

Same here in Central Scotland. Harley Bikers always wave or nod, and swarm round the Morris at South Queensferry. Must be some sort of cool factor at work. :D

It sounds like abuse to me! How does that poor little engine pull the monster? Here the people who drive them all complain abut the costs to run them, but spit and sputter if you suggest they trade off for a 4, or even a 6 cylinder. I think alot of them suffer from testosterone imbalances too. (no offence to the guys) I`ve even seen suburban soccer moms` eyes glaze over, staring maniacally, and sprout facial hair as they just miss running over smaller vehicals. I see this most often when they`re late to school functions or work. I bet he laughs when drives past the gas stations!
