The Great Crystal Cyberdrome Exhibition
In case any of you were wondering what I get up to in my spare time when I'm not messing around with Morris Minors, here's an event I'll be running at Orbital 2008, next year's British National Science Fiction Convention (Eastercon): http://www.beyondcyberdrome.org.uk/2008/

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

I am tempted to build an actual steam robot. Not sure how well that would go down with the hotel though - might need to find a fridge compressor and run it off air instead.
In 2006 (Beyond Cyberdrome: Pirates! (Arrr)) I won the Most Brilliantly Engineered prize for Rampaging Roger, my radio controlled electric paddle-steamer with water cannon and salvage winch.

If you think you can do better you're welcome to enter your own exhibit.
