Fuse location for horn and interior light

Post by NIPete »

Hello all i am new to this message board. Just acquired Moggie and looking for some advice on fuses. The interior light and horn not working. The wiring diagram shows a fuselink on this circuit. However I am having problems locating said fuse. Both were working prior to easing the interior light switch. I assume the fuse has blown. Any commnets and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's the fuse in the fuse box with a brown wire one side and a purple wire the other side.

Both (all*) fuses in a box directly through the bulkhead fon the driver. It's the little box, not the larger one.

*Later Minors had 3 fuses - two in the box and one 'inline' hanging beneath it,.

Don't *think* so - can't really remember. I'll check the diagram, since I happen to have it handy. Guess who's been playing electrics today... :)

Thanks for earlier comments. I found fuse and repaired the fault. Most grateful. No doubt I will be asking for further advice in the future

Can't have been the inline one - only 10A, and the horn draws rather more than that :D Why would it be anything other than the one with the purple wire?

Andrew is right. Its the LH fuse as viewed under the bonnet in small fuse box. We found it to be a dirty fuse. Only seems to affect the interior light and horn. On line comments saved a lot of swearing and unessary wire pulling. And its brass monkeys in the garage

The holders in the box have a habit of getting very dirty too - probably worth cleaning them.
