"Messiest workshop" picture contest, anyone?

Post by Bluesman »

Guys/gals -
There are lots of renovation and fixing-up stories floating around here, but not so many pictures. I´d love to see your pictures from ongoing work, and I´d love to see a bit of working environment, not to mention people.

Maybe even with a twist of humour - could we have a "messiest workshop" contest, maybe?

If so..I can start off with these relatively modest pics from the garage where Betty was found and where she is currently undergoing CPR (the 1st photo is credited to Linnea, the lady of the house, the 2nd is mine)

(Both are shot on analogue film, Bessa R2A+ CV21mm)

Let´s see what you got?

Love the photos!

Proper arty in B&W, could have been taken yesterday or 40 years ago. 8)

I dont have a workshop. :( I always mean to take photos when I do jobs but I'm always too greasy and involved in the work to stop and do it.
What would Macgyver do..?

That workshop is actually relatively spacious and tidy, I should take a pic of mid resto frenzy with bits of rusty metal all over the floor and tools everywhere.

Ah - right - perhaps my garage isn't so bad after all - actually doing a clear-up campaign at the moment. Pink marigolds are running out fast - reserve stock of used ones from work days - now retired so need an alternative source!
Seriously - can anyone suggest a sensible cost alternative ? Are the Poundland ones any good ?

That makes me feel a lot better about my garage
I've the garage at home, two lock-up's and a carports (plus two sheds) - all in a mess.
I'm slowly trying to tidy up but keep on finding things I've been after for ages so get sidetracked.
What surprises me it a few years ago all I had was the home garage.
At the time I had a Series 2 XJ6 and an insurance requirement was it should be garaged.
Somehow I managed to get the Jag, Honda CX500, Kawasaki Z250C and all my tools in there but now I struggle to get though the door - and there isn't any vehicles in there !

I'll have to take some pics of the garage, and knock myself back to 2nd place... :D That's where the chassis'/panels/wheels etc live.
